Heidi Zuniga and Jerry Perry were two of the staff members that we interviewed today. Heidi Zuniga is the electronic resource librarian at the Health and Sciences Library at University of Colorado Denver Medical Campus. She helps with trouble shooting which is fixing the problems with electronically resources. While interviewing Ms. Zuniga we found out a lot about her social and professional life. As a high school student, she wanted to become a writer but after working at the library at University of Northern Colorado she changed her mind and she found her fit which was becoming a librarian. Some of the very interesting tips that she gave us and that really motivated me were breaking problems in to pieces and solving them. Also, enjoying the path that we take to get to our goals. Ms. Zuniga would like to travel to Scotland with her husband to visit her friend.
The second staff member that we interviewed was Mr. Perry. Mr. Perry is the Health and Sciences Library director. He loves working at the library and he’s proud of his staff and believes that his staff is very rich in knowledge and successful members. He loves Chinese tea and he would love to travel to Younan, China on a tea trip. One of the most interesting things that Mr. Perry said was about his family. Mr. Perry explained how his family taught him the values that he has been practicing and which helped him become a successful man.
After interviewing both Ms.Zuniga and Mr. Perry, I learned the value of family and life. I learned that it’s not bad to be unsure about the career you want and you should enjoy the process of achieving your goals. After talking about his family, Mr. Perry changed some of the ideas I had about my family. A family might not be able to support their child directly but they always want good education and success for them.
