The Pascal is a branch of the Health Sciences Library that keeps all the old books, journals, and articles. Pascal has two million and three hundred thousand printed sources. All CU schools and DU sends their old books and journals to the library because no one uses them anymore. Some professionals or students who need an article or an old journal for their research call Pascal and the staff at Pascal scans the articles or checks out the printed source to the user.
I found Pascal a very interesting place. The long, tall, shelves full of books were really pretty. I loved the aisles and how the lights turned on after we walked in there. I also liked the order picker. The order picker ride was like a ride in Elitches. The room was very cold though and that’s why there was a jacket in the room to wear in a hot summer day. Binh and I also made a tray for the books, found the size of the books, and cataloged some books.
Overall, I loved the Pascal tour. I would love to work at a place like Pascal and ride the order picker every day.
